Hotel La Terraza Inn is located at Amapas 299 in the south part of Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, one block from the Los Muertos Beach.
After going through customs and picking up your luggage, you’ll be bombarded by people trying to sell you tours, timeshares, and transportation. Politely and firmly say, “No Gracias” and keep on walking. To avoid scams, find the counter with the taxi companies (see picture) that charge by zone and advertise the zones. As of 2023, Hotel La Terraza Inn is located in Zone 2 Sur (south). You can then purchase a ticket from the counter and they will direct you to your taxi. Major credit cards accepted.
If you are so inclined, you can tip your driver (cash) when they drop you off.
Please note that regular city taxis are allowed to drop off passengers at the airport, but they’re not allowed to pick them up when you land, so you won't be able to call a regular cab to pick you up.
Uber and other ridesharing apps are not allowed to pickup passengers at the airport, but you can save on fare if you cross the pedestrian bridge (after exiting the airport) to a regular Uber pickup spot, right in front of Tacón de Marlin. If you’re hungry after a long flight, take a load off and try the smoked marlin burrito before summoning your ride.
Depending on the day and time you’re travelling, we suggest you use a GPS app like Google Maps, Waze of Apple Maps to show you the best direction to the hotel.
You can take a local bus from the airport to the Romantic Zone. The bus stop is located outside the airport terminal and can be recognized by the green and white buses. The bus ride should take around 45 minutes and cost around $1 to $2 USD. Use Google Maps to find out specifically which bus route to take the day and time you’re travelling.
Once you get off the bus in the Romantic Zone, you will have to walk a few blocks to the hotel. Use Google Maps to find the easiest route.
You can walk from the airport to the Romantic Zone. The walk should take around 1 hour and 30 minutes and is not recommended if you have a lot of luggage or it's very hot outside.
